The Quince Paste is a sweet made from Quince Fruit (Cydonia Oblonga). Originally from Spain  (where typical production area is Puente Genil) and Portugal. 

Specifically, Quince Cream, is made only with the pulp of the best pieces, not including seeds and skin, producing a much softer and delicate product.

The quince tree is native to Asia Minor and the Caucasus. Greeks and Romans brought this fruit to Spain, he ate cooked and sweetened with honey. The sweet pulp is prepared simply cooking quince with equal amount of sugar, getting a block that can be cut or fill to accompany various culinary preparations.

In northern Spain is often served with cheese "tapas".
