D.O. MANCHUELA
Framed between the valleys of the rivers Júcar and Cabriel, the Manchuela is favoured by very specific climatic conditions. Clay soils with calcareous sediments of both rivers collected and hold rainwater that falls when still hasn't grown grapes. The low humidity, the almost total absence of rainfall between the months of May and September, and the large number of hours of sunshine received during its ripening makes the risk of diseases infimum, and therefore its quality is not affected by plant protection treatments. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 600 and 1,100 meters above the level of the sea in a continental climate, influenced by the humid winds of the Levant. Daytime high temperatures produced by the wind from the West and the night freshness of the Mediterranean breeze favor a slow maturation and a perfect formation of the grape polyphenols.
